We checked our local grocery and drug stores over the weekend to see what stores where offering $100 in FREE PRODUCTS if you shopped with them.
ANSWER: NONE
The closest thing to FREE was “get one free” if you purchased one item at a slightly higher price than usual.
Would YOU switch stores and shop with a new store if they offered $100 in FREE PRODUCTS?
Let’s think about this question: Is the mission of the large corporations we’re buying from now to enhance the lives of their customers, or is it to make a profit for their stockholders?
Picture this: You’re in the parking lot at WalMart, and you notice a new store there that has just opened with signs in the window advertising “We’ll give you a $100 shopping spree just for trying us”, and another sign that says “Many products 30 – 40% off of WalMart’s lowest price”, and yet another that reads “We’ll give you 10% back of everything you buy just for shopping with us”, and lastly “Tell others about us, and we’ll reward you!”
Well, I personally would be very willing to shop at this “new” store if they were also truly concerned about my well-being, I liked the products, they worked well, the store was convenient to shop at, I liked knowing everything there was safe, and everything there was a good value. I WOULD CERTAINLY TRY IT IF THEY TOLD ME I COULD GET $100 FREE JUST FOR TRYING IT OUT FOR THEM!
I’m curious – would that make sense to you too?
You know what else I’m wondering? Why in the world do we pay a fairly high membership fee to places like Sam’s Club, only to have to lug a bunch of stuff home – without any bags to carry it in, may I add – and then find places to store all these bulk items? Do the small savings we get by buying in bulk really triumph over the membership fee? Wouldn’t it be great to buy only what we need, when we need it, and still get the same great price?
What if there was really one place that you could buy “stuff” that was 30% cheaper than a Walmart or other discount stores, you got a 40% discount there every time, they would give you 10% back of everything you purchased every single time as a thank you for shopping there, and they would pay you for referring others to shop there too?
And what I meant by “stuff” was all of your necessities (like vitamins and supplements, cleaners, bath and body, cosmetics, and a Pharmacy) at a one-stop-shop. Think about all the stuff we use and sometimes have to run to several different stores to get it . . . toothpaste, lotion, soaps, deodorant, shaving creams, shampoo and conditioners, mouthwash, dental floss, breath spray, shower cleaners, vitamins, weight-loss supplements, granola bars, all-purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, bleach, floor cleaner, candles, carpet cleaner, air freshener, furniture polish, glass cleaner, cosmetic foundation, blush, mascara, and nail polish, every medication you could ever need, acne treatment, sunscreen, and the list goes on!
What I’m asking for is your help by simply wanting your opinion. I want to know everyone who has shopped somewhere that even comes close to all the things I’ve mentioned above. Maybe the $100 free doesn’t seem realistic, but what about the huge discounts and 10% back? I’d like to share a store that I’ve found to be great and have YOU be the judge, but not before hearing about your experiences first!
PLEASE . . . take a moment to email me and tell me your thoughts on this!
